It's my first day I began with this course. I was a little bit depressed by finding out that hardly could I understand what the news meant when I was listening for the first, sometimes even for the second time. After I finished the first task--marking down what I have heard--I found it even harder for me to translate it into Chinese. There were so many names, places and economical, political terms that I had never met before. Luckily the Internet was available, or maybe I would never finish my task. This made me realize that, in order to understand what I am listening to, I should pay more attention to accumulating new words that are not so familiar in our daily life. What's more, I knew so little about what's happening in the world.
