1. Ben Bernanke sees the beginning of the end of the financial crisis. The Federal Reserve chairman says economic activity in the US and around the world appears to be leveling out and the prospects for a return to growth in the near term appear good. Though he warns difficult challenges still lie ahead.

1 An ex-model found stuffed in a bloodstained suitcase without fingers or teeth was so badly mutilated that detectives had to identify Jasmine Fiore through a serial number of her breast implants. That's according to prosecutors. Police are looking for her ex-husband who has been charged with murder.

1. The reality TV contestant wanted for the murder of his ex-wife has been found dead. Ryan Jenkins' body was found in a Canadian hotel, dead from apparent suicide. Police say Jenkins killed then mutilated Jasmine Fiore whose body was found last week, stuffed in a suitcase outside of Los Angeles.

1. The Los Angeles County coroner's finding that Michael Jackson's death was a homicide could eventually lead to criminal charges for Jackson's personal doctor. Doctor Conrad Murray told investigators he gave Jackson a mix of drugs to treat the pop star's insomnia in the hours before his death.
